– The athlete can begin seated on the rower.
– Feet must be strapped in.
– Hands must remain off the handle until time begins.
– The monitor must be reset to zero at the beginning of each row
– Athletes may receive assistance in resetting the monitor during each round
– The athlete must remain seated on the rower until the correct calorie count is displayed on the monitor
– The monitor and calories must be clearly visible to the camera
Burpee Over the Rower
– The athlete must use a Concept2 rower with standard height legs.
– The athlete can choose to perform the burpees laterally or facing the rower.
– The athlete may step or jump back into the burpee.
– The athlete’s chest and thighs must come into contact with the ground at the bottom of the burpee.
– The athlete may step or jump out of the burpee.
– The athlete may step or jump over the rower.
– The athletes hands may not touch the ground on the other side before the feet when traveling over the rower.
– Touching the rower on the jump over is a no rep. If the athlete receives a no rep, the entire movement (burpee + jump) must be repeated.
– The rep is credited when both feet have touched the ground on the other side of the rower.
