5th annual NorCal Classic

The Norcal Classic is a 3 day event highlighting different aspects of fitness, culture and lifestyle in the Northern California region. Lake Natoma (Nimbus Flat State Park: 1912 Hazel Avenue, Rancho Cordova CA 95670) is the perfect location to test everything under the fitness umbrella, starting with an open qualifier for all divisions to compete from the comfort of their home gym.

A Division For You or Your Team

Headlined by the largest scale fitness event on the west coast, this event seeks to fill the void left by the departure of the CF Games Regional qualification system. It will offer participants of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to compete alongside elite competitors while testing themselves across a broad range of challenges.

Elite / RX

Athletes should select this division if they are traditionally an RX athlete in the CrossFit Open. All movements and standards will mimic that which you would commonly see in a typical Open competition.

All individual competitors for the Elite and RX division will compete in the same online qualifier. The top 40 athletes will be invited to compete in the Elite division for the 3 day event in May, pending video submission and validation. The next 40 athletes will be invited to compete in the RX division.

Intermediate

Intermediate athletes sit at the top of the scaled category. Perhaps missing only one or two skills from being RX, these athletes will be challenged with tests more technical than Scaled but less than RX.

The top 40 athletes in the scaled qualifier will be designated for the Intermediate division in September, pending video submission and validation

Scaled

Athletes should select this division if they are traditionally a scaled athlete in the CrossFit Open. All movements and standards will mimic that which you would commonly see in a typical Open competition.

Athletes 41-80 from the scaled category will be invited to compete in the 3 day event in September, pending video submission and validation.

We want to make sure there are even more opportunities to compete. This division will feature athletes 81-120 in the scaled category.

Eight Divisions: 14-15 / 16-17 / 35-39 / 40-44 / 45-49 / 50-54 / 55-59 / 60+
Athletes should select this division if their birthday falls before September 8, 2023. No exceptions.

The top 15 athletes from this division will be invited to compete in the 3 day event in September, pending video submission and validation. Top 10 for teenage. divisions

RX Pairs

Two same sex athletes will register as a team of 2. Only those athletes will be allowed to participate in the qualifier on behalf of their team. There is only one division for this category.

The top 30 Pairs will be invited to compete in the 3 day event in September, pending video submission and validation.

Lake Natoma

Lake Natoma (Nimbus Flat State Park: 1912 Hazel Avenue, Rancho Cordova CA 95670) will once again be the site for the 2023 Northern California Classic. It's home to a great trail, water front, and is an ideal location to test the region's fittest athletes.

Do Past Champions have to qualify?

If you've won the previous year at NCC, you have a ticket to the event of that division. Bring the fitness, and defend your spot. Please reach out to Blair or Ben for that registration spot. See Our Past Winners

I will be out of town for online qualifiers, can I submit late?

In fairness to the competition, we must have everyone submit their scores in the same window of time. But being a window, we hope that it can accommodate for everyone's circumstances.

Is there tickets to spectate the event?

Spectator tickets will go on sale in March. Visitors will be able to purchase single and three day passes to come cheer. on their favorite athletes. Please remember to be respectful of the athletes and community while at the park.

How many qualifier events are there?

There are 5 qualifier events every year. Visit the "Workouts" tab in the navigation to see this years events.

How do I submit scores?

We've partnered with competition corner to be our leaderboard and scoreboard for NCC. It's the same link you registered with, so visit competition corner, and find the Workouts in the dropdown to submit scores.

I want to be sponsor or vendor for NCC?

That's awesome! We hope to have as many local vendors as we can, since the park space is limited we do ask you submit a vendor request for or sponsor form on the "Sponsors" page of the website.
