Athletes must complete 3 rounds of snatches and bar facing burpees as quickly as possible.
Snatch – Athletes must move the barbell from ground to overhead in one continuous motion, clearly locking out knees, hips, shoulders, and elbows at the top with control. In the event the athletes feet separate beyond shoulder width, they must return to shoulder width before the rep counts.
The barbell must return to the ground before the next rep begins. Any variation of a snatch will be permitted, ie muscle, power, squat, or split.
Bar facing burpee – Athletes must face the barbell when initiating the burpee. Their chest must clearly touch the ground at the bottom of the movement. When getting up, athletes must gather BOTH feet on the near side of the bar before jumping or stepping over the bar. Jumping or stepping is allowed.
